Description

Although I know that winter began just some days ago, this one reminds me of spring. It is my christmas present to Carlos Escobar - GFXartist sponsor Madanapale - whose beautiful images always inspire me, and who unfortunately won't have snow in El Salvador (for those who didn't know where that is - including me ;) - it's south of Mexico, I just looked it up in an Atlas ;) )
Chin up, Carlos :)

I hate it when those freezing pickers get stuck to your clothing
you get in the house look at your pants and there are giant spiky things hanging off ya
then just to pull them off hurts man I hate that :p

Not looking forward to the snow myself, but I know it's coming. I can feel it in my bones.

Anyway, this is a wonderful shot. Must have been very difficult to get the right exposure. I like the way the light is workiing in this image. My only crit is that I wonder how it would look if it were cropped just a smidge tighter.

Wow! That snow looks like soft white feathers bunched up together. Very pretty. Hmm, for some reason I'm wondering what this would look like if it were vertically long...

Gorgeous shot Lenz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is excellent. My only crit ... same as E-Mart ... tighter and maye the subject set off center or even partially removed from the photo emerging from the border. I still gave you 8/9 though. This is very well done.

Hi Phryneas,

Another great shot, you are a very talented photographer. The only personal crit I have about this image is the other plant to the left in the background. It pulls at my eye a bit but still works for the composition also. Great Work

@ Joe-Ayotte and all those other cropping-critters including GFXartist sponsor MsMichelleLynn, GFXartist sponsor emarts and GFXartist sponsor keiiii:
Well, first a bit THANKS for your crit - it is very much appreciated... but I had a long thought about cropping on this - I can't crop on the left, without cropping away some "rays of light" (this is the reason why that second flower stayed in) and I can'r really crop to the right cus I would lose my 2/3 format for printing - so you see, sometimes lazyness just wins over composition ;)
And GFXartist sponsor keiiii - could you please explain or send me an example pic in a PM what you mean with vertical cropping? You mean cropping away the bottom? :

Oh I love it. I don't think it needs any cropping - there's something about the slightly loose feeling of the picture. The blurry things in t he background give it a feeling of motion, a certain hint of 'wilderness', so to say. To me, this picture really breathes. :)
